More to the point, I saw this and thought, what would it be like if Damian was the Batman of the future, and he took on Abuse as a sidekick/partner full time. He would wear a black suit with a mask reminiscent of Bane, only more like the from the tv show "The Batman" in which it would seem like armor on his untransformed body, and it would expand when he did and shrink back along with him. Perhaps Abuse might even be more of an anti-hero at this time and he would be at odds with BatDamien. Ooh! and he would be grooming his sidekick Terry McGuiness to be the next Batman as Knightwing, and he would have a supporting character Kerrie Kelly, also known as Panther Girl, who was formerly a sidekick he took on as Robin. It would be Awesome!
I've never really seen Abuse growing into a Bane copy-- especially since it stems into the backstory of Hush and Crane abusing him to be like Bane. But I do see him growing into a hero of his own right-- and of course, working closely with Bat!Damian.
